Ben Coutouvidis is a contemporary South African artist who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art from Rhodes University in Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown) in 1993. In 1996, he was awarded the Raymond Pullen Scholarship for Painting. Coutouvidis’s work encompasses a wide range of subjects, including still lifes, landscapes, and everyday scenes. His paintings are often evocative, emotional, and nostalgic, marked by a sensitivity to mood and atmosphere. Since 1993, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across South Africa, and his works are represented in several prominent private and corporate collections, including Spier, ABSA, Rhodes University, and Barclays International.
