Shirley Fintz is an artist, curator, and designer whose creative practice spans ceramic sculpture, jewellery, and knitwear. In 2005, together with Barbara Jackson, she co-founded MonkeyBiz, a pioneering studio that has trained hundreds of women in bead weaving, providing vital support and sustainable employment within expanding communities. Fintz’s ceramics are celebrated for their wild, witty, and irreverent character, reflecting her playful approach to form, texture, and storytelling. She is also a generous supporter of African Tails, contributing to every fundraising initiative since 2022.
